Last week, our Photo Friday post was dedicated to the unveiling of the 2010 season Oregon Ducks spirit tee, which you can now see at left.
Do you have your “Quack Out Loud” t-shirt yet? If not, you’d better get it today, in time for tomorrow’s kick-off! The Ducks take on the New Mexico Lobos tomorrow at 12:30 pm at Autzen Stadium.
How do you think the Ducks will do this year? The general consensus seems to be that they’ll do alright; they’ve been ranked 11th in the nation in the Associated Press and USA Today polls.

Even if it seems a little too early to think about what you’ll be doing next May, you’ll still want to mark your calendar for April 28-May 1, 2011 – the dates for this year’s District 5110 Conference!
This conference will mark the first time ever that the district conference and Interact conference are combined. Attendees will have the chance to learn about the home countries of Youth Exchange students, participate in Leadership for the Future forums, hear about the experiences of District 5110’s Group Study Exchange program, socialize with other Rotarians in our district...

The photo at left features, of course, Autzen Stadium, which will be packed full of fans in just over a week when the Oregon Ducks take on New Mexico to start the 2010 season.
If you’d like to show your support for the Ducks one week before kick-off, head over to the Duck Store at Autzen Stadium (2735 Leo Harris Parkway, Eugene) at 11 a.m. on Saturday for the unveiling of this season’s spirit tee and slogan. This t-shirt will be the official piece of Oregon football apparel during the season, so you’ll want to pick up your shirts before next week’s big game.

Rotarians can instantly recognize the wheel emblem as the symbol that represents Rotary International.
The wheel emblem, with a keyhole in the center, is a symbol of Rotary’s strength and power in communities worldwide, and the good that power has brought to millions of lives.
However, did you know that the emblem as we know it today did not always exist? Just as many popular logos evolve through the years, so has Rotary’s wheel emblem endured its share of changes since it was first introduced in 1905. The photo at left represents its 1912 iteration.

Summer is the perfect time to be out on your bicycle. What could be better than riding your bike while supporting Rotary’s work to eradicate polio worldwide? You can do both while supporting one of the Rotary clubs in our district.
Tomorrow, the Rotary Club of Greater Albany is holding a “Pedal Away Polio” event. Riders will start from the Linn County Fair and Expo Center and embark on rides of various distances, ranging from two miles to 54.

On March 22, Rotary clubs and Rotarian worldwide observed World Water Day. They aided in Rotary International’s effort to provide clean, safe drinking water to those who do not currently have access to it.
