This Thursday, District Governor John Cox will be speaking to the Eugene Airport Rotary during its weekly meeting. November is Rotary Foundation month, and TRF is a very important cause to DG John. Junction City is transforming its downtown area into an old world town to celebrate Scandinavian heritage from Aug. 13 – 16, 2009.
The Junction City Scandinavian Festival offers cultural entertainment such as numerous handicrafts, colorful costumes, storytelling, folk dancing, choral and instrument groups, stage events, and much more.
The Junction City Scandinavian Festival is one of two big fundraisers for Eugene Airport Rotary. Our Rotary Club sponsors the beer garden at the festival. The money brought in funds our local community service projects.

After receiving close to a half million dollars from family friends and Oregon-based Angel Investors for her start-up Web site, Caroline Cummings has learned the importance of extra help and being an entrepreneur.
Cummings has plenty of experience in the realm of entrepreneurship. She is the co-founder of Smart-ups, an entrepreneurial support group in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, which is a local chapter of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (OEN) based in Portland, OR.
