An estimated 18,000 Rotarians from 154 countries attended the 2010 Rotary International Convention in Montréal, Québec, Canada this Wednesday, June 23. During the four-day event, participant heard from famed speakers and philanthropists such as best-selling author Greg Mortenson and singer/songwriter Dolly Parton. Rotarians were also entertained by performing groups such as Cirque du Soleil (see picture) and the Irish singing group known as Celtic Thunder. Are you interested in exploring the beautiful city of Eugene, getting some great exercise and meeting new people? If you are, you may be interested in attending the free, local event for Eugene residents ages 55 and older. Every Wednesday, riders meet at the Campbell Center for in-town rides. Rides vary in length and time depending on ability and physical fitness. Weekly attendance is not required, but helmets are. Rides take place every Wednesday at 9:30 am until August 25, 2010.
