Faster, Higher, Farther: The Spirit of Track & Field Sports is an exhibit of photography by David Burnett, Kenneth Jarecke, Dilip Mehta, and Annie Leibovitz that captures the speed, power, endurance of Olympic class athletes past and present. The exhibit, prepared by Contact Press Images, New York, features arguably the most famous images of past Olympic games, trials and relays of these extraordinary athletes including Carl Lewis, Michael Johnson, and Mary Decker Slaney.

We’re lucky to live in such a bountiful area of the world! Fresh, locally grown fruits and veggies are available with just a trip to local farmer’s markets.
Now, find fresh produce in Springfield on Fridays! “It’ll Grow on You!”

Our annual Eugene Ems club social is Friday, July 18th. Come enjoy a game at Civic Stadium, along with hamburgers, hot dogs and beer. I dare you to name a better way to spend a summer evening!
The Ems play the Vancouver Canadians. (Really? the Canadians? now that’s fierce!)
You enter the park through the 1st base picnic area (see map below)

On 1 July, Rotary’s new year began, ushering in new leaders, a new RI theme, and new goals.
In 2008-09, RI welcomes its first president from Korea, Dong Kurn Lee. Rotarians already have shown enthusiastic support for Lee’s theme, Make Dreams Real , which will focus on decreasing child mortality and building membership.
We’ll bring you more about our club and President Steve Clarke’s goals soon.
