Community Events: More Fun in the Sun

The Olympic Team Trials for Track and Field are underway (in case you hadn’t heard), but that’s not the only game in town in the next week or two.

Art & the Vinyard (July 4 – 6): Art and the Vineyard is the Northwest’s top art, wine, and music festival, staged along the banks of the Willamette River in Eugene, Oregon’s scenic Alton Baker Park. This year marks the 25th Annual Art and the Vineyard Festival on July 4, 5, and 6, 2008. Tickets available at the festival gate or in advance at Maude Kerns Art Center.

Oregon Bach Festival (June 27 – July 13): Visiting director Helmuth Rilling leads the Grammy-winning festival of orchestral, choral and contemporary concerts. This year’s event dovetails with Eugene 08, offering Track Town specific pieces for audiences.

Oregon Country Fair (July 11 – 13): Eclectic celebration of cultural diversity, art, music and food inclludes more than 50 food booths and 700 artisans.
