Thanks to Eugene Airport Rotary and other local clubs, this water source is no longer where the village of Buyuki gets its drinking and cooking water.
The Rotary Club of Mengo helps text the new water well, which will provide a safe water source for Buyuki.
Rotary International approved the project for a matching grant, and it’s being implemented by the Rotary Club of Mengo in 2007-2008, working with a project management committee appointed by the Buyuki village council. Our 2008 Recognition Event, A Western Affair, was a fabulous celebration for Lane County’s wonderful Senior Companions, who do so much for our Lane County communities!
