District 5110 Conference is Coming!

May 29 – 31, Eugene will host the annual district conference. With some terrific speakers lined up, it’s a must see for all local Rotarians.
Highlights:
- Our own Pam Perkins has been selected to play “Deal or No Deal”
- Become the 2008 Rotary Idol (you need to send your audition tape ahead of time!)
- Two past Rotary International presidents, two ambassadorial scholars, a peace fellow and other terrific speakers are scheduled. See the speakers here.
- The Rotary Foundation silent auction (starts the 30th)
- Seminars on district grants, Rotary First Harvest, recruiting younger Rotarians,
- Free child care for kids ages 3 and over (no diapers!)

The District 5110 Conference was a huge success. From the new scrapbook display from 25 clubs in the district to the children’s parade from the “Family of Rotary” there was something for everyone. I truly enjoyed the entire conference and was especially moved by the “Share Your Rotary Story” by several Rotarians throughout the conference. Of course, winning the golf tournament with Jack, Steve and Bob was a highlight as well. We earned $150.00 to donate to our Tot to Teen Program started by Eugene Airport Rotary this year. Thank you to all who made the conference such a learning and moving experience.
