Community Event: Memorial Day Weekend Wine Tours

Lane County has 16 wineries, all within about a 20 minute drive from Eugene. In Oregon, Memorial Day weekend is the kickoff for wine tasting season. Many wineries have special events – live music, new vintages to try and more. Here’s a sampling of what our local wineries have scheduled for that weekend.

Sweet Cheeks Winery: Memorial Day Weekend Open House

• Music by Paul Biondi and art from local artists. May 24th , 25th and 26th from 12-6pm

LaVelle Vineyards Hosts a Great American Picnic

• BBQ, Dixieland Jazz and games and fun for the family. Sunday and Monday from 12 – 5pm

King Estate is holding Memorial Day at the Marketplace

• In celebration of Memorial Day, the Marketplace will be open to the public. A relaxed, casual setting for wine tasting, light fare and baked goods. 24th – 26th, 11 am – 6 pm

Benton-Lane Winery hosts a Memorial Day open house

• Free tastings, winery tours and appetizers.
