The Oregon Mozart Players were a treat! They informed our Rotary Club of the community education events that the group does to gain children and community interest. Players perform in schools to interest students in music. There are many benefits to musical involvement. Playing and listening to music develops both the right and left sides of the brain. Music also teaches dedication, effort, and applying oneself to see results.
The importance of advocacy and support was the second theme of the presentation. The community needs to be informed, attend concerts, donate, and/or help to expose others to the arts. Advocacy and support are essential for the arts to continue and thrive in our community.
