Santa Clara River Road Volunteer Library

The Santa Clara River Road Volunteer Library aims at reaching a group of individuals who cannot utilize the Eugene City Library. The Volunteer Library opened in 2003 and operates with 17 volunteers. Donations are graciously accepted. The Volunteer Library offers a collection of 38,000 donated books. The donated books that are unable to be used are sold in a book sale to raise funds for operations. The Volunteer Library focuses on children by providing two children programs a year. The most recent was called “Get a Clue” and theme was a book about a dog detective. The children logged their reading hours to win prizes. The event had a scavenger hunt, a talk from a police detective, and other theme related activities.
